Who I Am

I’m Shannon Wirth, I have been a health and nutrition coach since 2017.

In 2021 I added more lifestyle coaching into my practice. I have worked with everyone from professional athletes to post-menopausal women and in between. I still work with a select group of professional athletes on performance, mindset, and weight cuts but my main focus has shifted to women’s health and wellness.

I work with women to step into their power, take control of their lives, and create the lives and bodies that make them really happy.

Whether it is helping with health and nutrition, money mindset and finances, career and purpose, or finding the confidence to take up more space in this world.

We are working on creating scholarships so all women have access to coaching to change and improve their lives.

How I got Started

Fit..ting in With My Circus Family

Fitting in with a family of circus performers is as hard as it sounds. Especially when out of the three kids; you are the baby, the only girl, and the one that couldn’t stick with any sport or athletic anything.

My parents met in Holland in essentially two different traveling circuses. My mom was part of the High Diving Eagles. They were a group of divers, and she would travel the world doing 70ft. high dives, dress up like a clown, light herself on fire, and swim with whales. My dad was an areal acrobatic skier with the Swiss national team. He and his team would also travel the world doing shows and competitions doing triple backflips with a full twist on skis, off of water ramps.

Thirty years later, they are still married with three carnie children. My brothers and I. Both of my brothers got the carnie genes way more than I did.

They both flip around all the time (I still can’t do a backflip but I WILL get it.) They both also excelled in their sports. My oldest brother was a professional MMA fighter, and can do standing backflips higher than I am tall (I’m pretty short but still..)

My other brother won two national championships, and an MVP in college as a soccer goalie, now he is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and competes all over.

Then was is me.

I wasn’t unathletic but I couldn’t keep up with anyone in my family and I couldn’t stick to any sport long enough to be really good at them.

Plus I was and still am obsessed with food. It’s what I spend most of my time thinking about. So I was a little thicker, a little more out of shape, and felt like I didn’t really fit in with my family.

No one else in my family cared that I wasn’t as athletic or sporty as they were, they were always extremely supportive and loving but I cared.. a lot.

I tried every diet and workout that some bombshell celebrity was doing and anything I saw on social media.

And big shocker… nothing worked. So I gave up on the fad diets, spent a year in Switzerland, and started really studying nutrition. I traveled around Europe seeing how people ate in different countries, truly listening to my body, and finding out what worked for me and my body.

I fell in love with nutrition and fitness again, found something that I could stick with, and haven’t looked back. Now that I know how to make healthy and delicious food and I love food more now than ever before!

Since 2017 I have been coaching others to help them find their fit and their happiness. I am constantly coming up with new and healthy recipes, and studying fitness, nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle.

That is what this blog is all about. It’s all of my fit tips, recipes, and healthy lifestyle hacks.
